On this month’s City Pulse, we’ll show you how South Florida uses sports and athletics to leave a long-term impact on its local communities.
Each show airs monthly on FOX Sports Southwest and participating FOX Sports regional networks. Check local listings for availability and show times.
All across the state of Florida, leaders and athletes are using the power of sports to uplift communities.
But head down to South Florida, and you’ll find a region filled with wonderful opportunities for people to witness the true impact sports can have on individuals.
Gainbridge Junior Golf Clinic
South Florida hosted the Gainbridge Junior Golf Clinic at Osprey Point Golf Course. During the clinic, LPGA players and golf instructors taught basic golf skills like putting and chipping to aspiring young players.
The clinic brings out these stellar athletes in hopes to create a spark that becomes a long-term love of the game for the young golfers.

The Women’s Leadership Summit Presented by Versant Health
In addition to the junior golf clinic, South Florida hosted The Women’s Leadership Summit Presented by Versant Health.
The event brings top female leaders from a variety of sectors together for a day-long event. The summit’s goal: to empower women, strengthen their skills and discuss how to create lasting change.
Some of South Florida’s biggest female business leaders headlined the event, which also included a fireside chat with LPGA Pro Gerina Piller and golf activity with Emma Talley.
